WinClick

Two Mac editions. Compare them side by side.

WinClick adds Windows-style file shortcuts to the Mac Finder. Both editions add the same right-click menu items: Cut and Paste, a New submenu, Move to and Copy to, Copy as Path and Open Terminal Here. The full edition also adds the keyboard and system shortcuts, which need the Accessibility permission. The Lite edition from the Mac App Store keeps to the Finder menu, inside the App Store sandbox.

Which one is right for you?

Choose WinClick if you want the Windows keys too: F2 to rename, Delete to Trash, Ctrl+Alt+Del and Show Desktop. Keyboard and system shortcuts need a licence after the 7-day free trial. Choose Lite if you want the right-click menu from the App Store, with updates through the App Store.

Both editions can be installed. Lite hides its menu while the full edition runs, so Finder shows one WinClick menu. The full edition offers to move Lite to the Trash for you. Settings are separate.

Shared by both editions

  • Every item on or off Switch each menu item in Settings.
  • Finder menu Cut, Paste, New, Move to, Copy to, Copy as Path and Open Terminal Here work the same way in both.

Finder's menu items don't appear inside iCloud Drive, and other cloud folders are likely affected the same way. Local folders, Downloads and external drives work normally.
