Trouble with Glider for Mac? Get support

Glider puts your Dropbox one drop away. Drag files onto its icon in the Dock or the menu bar, or onto the drop zone that slides in while you drag, and they land in your Dropbox — no Dropbox app needed, and no device slot used up. Several Dropbox accounts? Glider asks which one.

Glider keeps to its own folder: everything goes into Apps › GliderApp in your Dropbox, and it can't see the rest. Sign-in happens on Dropbox's own page, and you can disconnect Glider there at any time.

All the Glider editions side by side, with what each one can do: the Glider editions.

Features

  • Drop anywhere The Dock icon, the menu-bar bird, a drop zone at the screen edge while you drag, or right-click › Services › Upload with Glider in Finder.
  • A Glider folder One folder per account on your Mac, marked with the Glider icon. Copy or move files into it, or just drop them there.
  • Two-way sync The folder and Dropbox stay identical: new, changed and deleted files sync both ways, and files added from your other devices arrive within seconds.
  • Safe by default Same-name files ask before replacing, edits on both sides keep both versions, deleted files go to the Trash, and big deletions wait for a yes.
  • Several accounts Personal and work Dropbox side by side, each with its own folder and destination.
  • Large files Uploads in pieces, checked end to end, and carries on after a restart or a lost connection.
  • Yours to configure Switch each way of dropping on or off, choose copy, move or ask for each, and where the drop zone appears.
  • Private No servers, no ads. Files go straight between your Mac and your Dropbox. Crash reports and usage statistics never include your files, file names or Dropbox paths.

Prefer the Mac App Store? Glider Lite is coming soon: the same drops, accounts and Glider folder in a sandboxed edition that copies files rather than moving them.

On your phone? Glider for Android uploads from any app's Share menu, in the background, and Glider for iOS sends photos and files from your iPhone or iPad. Both use the same Dropbox folder.

Glider works with Dropbox through the Dropbox API. It is not made by or affiliated with Dropbox.
